ALUMNI

Our alumni are our most valued asset. It is the goal of GBSA to create new relationships with SDSU alumni and strengthen existing ones by fostering a strong continuing connection between San Diego State Business School its alumni in San Diego and the broader community.

At the highest level, GBSA hopes to accomplish all of the following…

• Create forums for learning, open to members and the community, that highlight significant advancements made by San Diego State Graduate Business School and other universities.
• Provide mentoring and scholarships to promising students pursuing business education.
• Facilitate the exchange of ideas through outreach to SDSU alumni.
• Deepen the relationship between the school of business and its alumni.

Alumni Spotlight

Edgar Arvizu

Edgar Arvizu is Vice President in the Technology and Life Sciences group of Silicon Valley Bank’s Western Division.  In this role, Mr. Arvizu identifies, executes, and manages venture debt transactions for early stage and publicly traded high technology and life sciences companies in the San Diego area.  Prior to this, Mr. Arvizu co-led the development of the region’s new Emerging Technology Practice, where he focused on identifying new banking and financing opportunities and managed the region’s annual business plan competition.
